Usage Note 38006: A migration analysis report might indicate that multiple instances of the SAS® Web OLAP Viewer for Java were migrated when only one instance exists
In the migration analysis report that is generated by the SAS® Migration Utility, you might see the following message in the Details column of the product table in the report:
Multiple instances of SAS Web OLAP Viewer were found
This message might be confusing if you only have one instance of SAS Web OLAP Viewer for Java.
However, when you look more closely, you see that the multiple instances are actually two versions of the same SAS Web OLAP Viewer Web Application Archive (WAR) file:
- the actual WAR file
- the WAR file that has been unpacked (exploded) into a directory
For example, in the product table's System Location column, the two directory paths might be similar to the following:
- ...Lev1/web/webapps/SASWebOLAPViewer.war
- ...Lev1/web/webapps/exploded/SASWebOLAPViewer.war
During migration, the SAS Migration Utility attempts to migrate every configuration of the SAS Web OLAP Viewer that it finds. The utility does not make a distinction between the WAR file and the exploded directory, which is normal behavior for the way that the tool is designed.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The Analysis report generated by the SMU migration utility tool mignt generate the message"Multiple instances of SAS Web OLAP Viewer were found" when only one exists. This behavior is working as designed, and it does not impact the migration.
